Billing, what to expect, booking logistics, and the clinic. If your question isn't here, email Mathieu, he replies between appointments.
Yes. Direct billing is available for most major extended-health insurance providers. Coverage and electronic claim eligibility depend on your individual plan. When the claim is approved and payment is assigned to the clinic, you pay only the remaining balance. If direct billing is unavailable or your insurer pays you directly, payment is due at the appointment and you will receive a detailed receipt to submit for reimbursement.
Motor vehicle accident claims follow a different process, see the MVA information below.
Insurance coverage is determined by your plan and cannot be guaranteed by the clinic. Contact your insurer if you need confirmation of your annual maximum, coverage percentage, prescription requirements or remaining balance. The clinic can attempt to submit your claim at the appointment, but the insurer makes the final decision.
Motor vehicle accident claims follow a separate process and are not handled through regular direct billing.
Before the initial appointment, provide your claim number and your adjuster's name and contact information. Mathieu will contact the adjuster to confirm the process and the required documentation.
Unless another payment arrangement is confirmed in advance, payment is due at the appointment and you will receive a detailed receipt.
Debit, credit card, e-transfer, cash and gift certificates are accepted. Card payments are processed through Square.
With your authorization, a card may also be stored securely through the clinic's booking system for future payments and any applicable cancellation or missed-appointment fees. At future visits you can pay with the stored card or any other accepted method.
Pricing is based on appointment length, not the techniques used:
The Initial Assessment + Treatment and Reassessment + Treatment are each $115 + HST ($132.25 total). They include assessment, treatment, and a plan. Both are booked as 60-minute appointments. Direct billing is available for most extended-health plans.
Appointment time includes health history review, assessment or reassessment, treatment planning, treatment, documentation, and any necessary time for dressing or changing.
Yes. Receipts include the appointment date, service, provider, amount paid, HST, Mathieu's name and signature, CMTNB registration number, clinic address and contact information. This is the information normally required for an extended health claim. Insurer and MVA requirements vary, and additional forms or reports are not included unless arranged separately.
Some techniques may feel intense, especially when working on sensitive or restricted areas, but treatment should not feel overwhelming. The goal is precision, not simply more pressure. Mathieu adjusts the technique and intensity based on your comfort and response. You can ask for less pressure, a different approach, or for treatment to stop at any time.
There is no fixed number. It depends on the issue, how long it has been present, previous injuries, daily demands, general health and how you respond to treatment. Your response will be reassessed at each visit. After the initial appointment, Mathieu can recommend a reasonable follow-up plan based on the assessment and your progress. Results and the total number of appointments cannot be guaranteed.
Wear comfortable clothing you can move easily in, such as athletic wear, shorts, or loose-fitting clothing. Comfortable clothing helps with the assessment and any active movement during treatment.
For massage treatment you may undress only to your comfort level. You will remain covered with sheets and blankets except for the specific area being treated. Treatment can be adapted if you prefer to remain clothed.
Some techniques use a gel or lotion. Mathieu explains these first, and they are used only with your consent.
Temporary soreness, tenderness or fatigue can occur after treatment, particularly when a sensitive area has been treated. It often feels similar to post-exercise soreness and usually settles within 24–48 hours. Gentle movement and normal hydration may feel helpful.
Contact the clinic if pain is sharp, severe, worsening, accompanied by numbness or weakness, or continues beyond the expected period.
Most people can drive and return to normal daily activity after treatment. Before driving, make sure you feel alert, steady and comfortable moving normally.
Exercise recommendations depend on the area treated and how you respond. Light movement is often appropriate, but you may be advised to delay heavy lifting, intense exercise or maximum-effort training when an area is already irritated.

Appointments can be conducted in English or French.
A minimum of 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice, missed appointments, and arrivals too late to complete the session may be charged up to the full appointment fee.
Cancellation and missed-appointment fees cannot be submitted to insurance and remain the client's responsibility. Emergency circumstances are reviewed individually.
With your authorization, a card may also be stored securely through the clinic's booking system for future payments and any applicable cancellation or missed-appointment fees.
Please contact Mathieu as soon as possible if you're running late. Your appointment will still end at the originally scheduled time to avoid impacting other clients. Depending on how late you arrive, treatment time may need to be shortened and the full appointment fee may still apply.
If there is not enough time remaining to safely provide meaningful treatment, the appointment may need to be cancelled and treated as a missed appointment.
The easiest way to reach Mathieu is by text or email, or through the contact form on the Contact page, all reach him directly, and he responds between appointments.
Not sure which appointment to book? New clients should choose Initial Assessment + Treatment. Returning clients can choose the follow-up duration that seems closest to their needs. You do not need to select RAPID, IASTM, cupping or therapeutic massage when booking. Mathieu will assess the concern and choose the treatment approach with you during the appointment.
