The basics of booking and receiving treatment at the clinic.
Draft for review. This page now carries Mathieu's dictated terms (July 13 and 15). One final read and sign-off from Mathieu before the site goes live.
Effective date: August 1, 2026 · Last updated: August 1, 2026
These terms describe the clinic's general booking and treatment practices. The Cancellation Policy is presented and accepted during online booking.
They do not replace informed consent for assessment or treatment. Clinical consent is obtained separately and may be changed or withdrawn at any time.
Treatment is provided by Mathieu Boudreau, RMT, registered with the College of Massage Therapists of New Brunswick. Assessment and treatment are provided within the scope of massage therapy. Massage therapy may help improve physical function or relieve pain, but individual responses vary and no specific result is guaranteed. Massage therapy does not replace medical assessment, diagnosis or treatment when those services are needed.
Appointments are booked through ClinicSense. Payment is due at the time of service. Current fees are shown in the booking system and are subject to HST.
Direct billing is available for many extended health plans. Coverage depends on the individual plan and cannot be guaranteed. The client remains responsible for any amount not paid by an insurer. Accepted payment methods and receipts are described in the FAQ.
New clients must provide a valid credit card on file when booking. Booking and payment information is handled through secure third-party booking and payment providers. Any charges to a card on file are governed by the Cancellation Policy and the agreement accepted during booking.
Cancellations, missed appointments, and late arrivals are governed by the Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.
You agree to provide accurate and complete health information relevant to your care, and to inform Mathieu of relevant changes, including new injuries, health conditions, medications, or pregnancy.
Missing or inaccurate information may require additional assessment time, reduce hands-on treatment time, or require treatment to be modified, postponed, or declined. Your information is handled under the Privacy Policy.
Informed consent is obtained before assessment and treatment, and consent is ongoing throughout your appointment.
Mathieu explains the proposed assessment or treatment, its purpose, expected benefits, material risks or side effects, reasonable alternatives, and the option of not receiving treatment. You may accept, modify, refuse, or stop any part of assessment or treatment at any time.
Specific consent is obtained when required, including for intraoral techniques or treatment near sensitive areas. These terms do not, by themselves, authorize assessment or treatment.
Assessment or treatment may be modified, postponed, declined, or stopped if it would be unsafe, contraindicated, outside the scope of massage therapy, or inconsistent with professional standards. No specific result is guaranteed, and response to treatment varies between clients.
Where your needs are outside Mathieu's skill or scope, a referral to another provider may be recommended.
Massage therapy is a regulated health-care service. Sexual requests, harassment, threats, abusive behaviour, or any conduct that compromises safety or professional boundaries is not permitted.
A session may be stopped immediately when necessary. Depending on the circumstances and clinic policy, the client may remain responsible for the full booked fee.
Future treatment may be discontinued. Conduct may be documented and reported to the appropriate authorities where required or permitted by law.
Treatment and communication are available in English or French. ClinicSense online intake and consent forms are currently available in English only. Contact Mathieu before your appointment if you would like to review the forms in French.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of New Brunswick and the applicable federal laws of Canada.
These terms may be updated from time to time. The current version is posted on this page, with the effective date shown at the top.
